Welcome to the Ministry of Magic! A Harry Potter Play By Post Role Playing Game.
In this game we offer a wide variety of possibilities. We offer the player a chance to be a Student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, or the player can choose to be a Professor at Hogwarts, the player can choose to work in a Department at the Ministry of Magic, on top of many other aspects.
This game is set in the year 2055. Several years after the death of Harry Potter. So that brings about new and more interesting plot twists.

The current month is September.
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry has started a new term. The weather is mild, and some of the leaves are starting to change colors with the onset of Autumn quickly approaching.
With threats from the organization that calls themselves The Order of the Death Eaters Hogwarts as well as the magical community are on high alert, and are advised to alert the Ministry of any odd happenings they see.
The Ministry of Magic currently has the Department of Magical Law Enforcement investigating the death of Knart Ironchain; as well as any witches or wizards involved in or with the incident.
Students and Faculty at Hogwarts are in an uproar with the death of a House Elf named Drech, the school has been put on lock down and Professors are now escorting students to their classes. Students are spreading rumors about what happen, and Faculty are trying to figure out how the walls of Hogwarts were breached.

Greetings fellow players,
I have noticed a sudden decrease in posts over the last few weeks. Now I know many of us are getting ready to go back to school and that is cause for the lack of posts. However many of you have not posted at all.
So, with that said if players do not start posting - and this includes those in staff positions as well as students I will be forced to remove you from the game. I am only asking for one post a week from everyone.
If you are engaged in a private scene please draw it to a conclusion and begin posting publicly.

As the students entered The Great Hall and took their seats at the table, he waited for the incoming first years to be Sorted. As the first year students made their way into The Great Hall they were informed to wait in a line for their name to be called. As Professor Kilenson brought out a stool and a worn patchworked hat and placed them both in the center of the raised platform. The students were informed that they would each come up one by one when their name was called and try on the hat. As Professor Kilenson called name after name, students at the other table appluaded with joy at having a new house member.
